The Saudi prosecution charged on Monday a national with defaming the Prophet Mohammed and his companions and supporting the Lebanese Hezbollah party and its leader Hassan Nasrallah.

He was also charged with glorifying the Iranian Khomeini revolution, violating Saudi Arabia’s unity and stability and describing the Kingdom’s senior scholars as “extremists”.

The suspect called for renouncing the Sunni sect and instead adhering to heretic and takfiri ideologies.

He insulted Saudi national and religious symbols, while also describing the majority of the Kingdom’s people as “ISIS” followers.

Moreover, he defamed Arab Gulf countries, claiming that they support the terrorist group.

The suspect also expressed sympathy with the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen and incited to hold demonstrations in Bahrain.

In addition, he made a number of interviews with western media and anti-Saudi television channels through which he attacked the Kingdom’s rulers and promoted his hostile rhetoric.

He also wrote a number of books and research papers that promote his flawed ideology and published them outside of the Kingdom. He took part in seminars during which he spoke of his anti-Saudi ideas.

The suspect received funds from within and outside the Kingdom in support of his views. He had also traveled illegally to Yemen, added the prosecution.
