
The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) revealed that the population of Saudi Arabia exceeded 35 million people by the end of the first half of 2020, an increase of 2.27% within one year.
Saudi Arabia’s population grew by 2.27% percent to 35.01 million last year from 34.22 million in 2019, according to GASTAT preliminary estimates in the middle of 2020.
The number of males in the Kingdom grew by 2.5 percent in a year with nearly 4,924,000 people, while the growth between the females was about 2.1 percent (3,029,000). Males constitute 57.78% of the total population and females 42.22%.
The age group between 30 and 34 years was the highest with 3,395,478 million individuals, followed by the age group of 35-39 with 3,808,629 million people.
The share of the age group from 70 to 74 years was about 0.8 percent of the population, 0.5 percent for the group from 75 to 79 years, and 0.5 percent for the age group of 80 years and older.
