Saudi PIF Announces Details of 3rd Session of Future Investment Initiative

The third session of the two-day Future Investment Initiative (FII) will take place in Riyadh on October 29, according to the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).

The session will be held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, deputy premier, chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs and PIF’s board of directors.

The event will host prominent figures and decision-makers, senior investors and international experts to explore future economic trends and opportunities, highlight future industries and enrich the debate on the extent to which investors could contribute to the world’s development.

FII will mainly tackle the future of business and will focus on three main themes.

The first highlights sustainable future through exploring new models for innovation and investment that contribute to enhancing financial returns and supporting sustainability in aspects of life.

The second theme focuses on technology for everyone’s good through the development of regulatory and commercial policies to guide future growth in the technology sector.

While the third theme will focus on advanced society through establishing systems and adopting a culture that contributes to implementing the best human practices the machine age.

In addition to the main program, FII will also host three summits on the impact of changes in the business, entertainment and community aspects and their reflection on driving innovation and creating investment opportunities.

These opportunities could be created through comprehensive work, which explores means of leading to change in technology and demography, business models in the nature of work and interactive entertainment.

They also show how innovation, globalization and consumer behavior affect sport, recreation and community cohesion, in which world governments seek to incorporate smart systems, advanced mobility and new educational models and increase cultural awareness in cities and communities.

The initiative will also host 12 workshops on different sectors and aim at exploring emerging businesses and investment trends and identifying growth opportunities in the early stages.

These workshops will address different topics including cities, energy, climate, health, data, mobility, food, travel, sports, shopping and youth.
