Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced on Monday that about seven million Muslims from around the globe performed the Umrah rituals with complete comfort and security, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

"Upon directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the government of Saudi Arabia dedicated all capabilities and qualified human resources for the service of all Umrah performers during their stay in the Kingdom," it said.

It condemned Qatari authorities for hindering its citizens and residents from traveling to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage and Umrah, stressing that it welcomes all those seeking to perform the rituals.

Qataris must complete required registration upon arriving at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, it added.

Expatriates in Qatar who want to perform the Umrah can register their information through the Ministry’s website and complete electronic contracting procedures with the authorized Saudi Umrah companies.

Citizens and residents of Qatar can travel to Saudi Arabia by air through Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport on all airlines, except Qatar Airways, during the holy month of Ramadan.
