Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Culture announced on the names of directors, screenwriters, and producers who won the Daw Competition, which was launched to support Saudi film production under the Saudi Vision 2030.

The competition comprises four tracks including full scripts, developing scriptwriting, students' filmmaking projects, and films, with a total fund of SRA 40 million.

According to the results, 19 projects have won in the "Full scripts-short and long films" track, and 11 others won in the "developing scriptwriting" track.

By announcing the winners, the Daw competition has moved to the production phase, during which the winning projects will be overseen by the Ministry of Culture from A to Z phases.

The initiative seeks to develop the Kingdom's filmmaking industry, as well as supporting and empowering Saudi talents by helping them develop their scripts or produce their movies.

This in addition to providing them with the opportunity to screen their works in festivals and movie theaters in Saudi Arabia and abroad.
