King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's project in Yemen for clearing mines "MASAM" demined 1,077 hidden detrimental items during the last week of August 2019.

The mines cleared included five antipersonnel mines, 363 anti-tank, 635 unexploded ordnance and 74 explosive devices.

Since the start of the Saudi project, 84,825 landmines have been dismantled after they had been planted by Houthi militias, in Yemen, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Houthi mines have claimed lives, caused serious injuries or amputation of children, women and elderly.
