
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief)'s project for clearing landmines (MASAM) removed around 1,800 landmines in Yemen last month, safeguarding citizens from the devices planted by Iranian-backed Houthi militias.
MASAM Program Manager Osama al-Gosaibi said that the project's teams have cleared during the fourth week of June 604 landmines, making the total 1,839 mines. He added that the field teams demined 268 anti-tank mines and 4 anti-personnel landmines as well as 330 un-exploded ammunition and two improvised explosive devices.
Gosaibi stated that the total of removed landmines, since embarking the project a year ago, reached 74, 115.
In another context, Houthis dispatched military reinforcements towards al-Jabalia area of Tuhayta district, in concurrence with continuous targeting of the army joint forces locations and population gatherings in the same region as well as Hays.
The Giants Brigades affirmed that Houthis have mobilized forces, armed with heavy weapons and military machines, towards al-Jabalia area. While in Sadah, they conducted a wide-scope arresting campaign in Manbih after one day of fierce clashes between Houthis and Bani Khawli tribes.
Further, the Coalition Forces Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen and the national army have destroyed Sunday movements and reinforcements of Houthis in several directorates in the north of Sanaa.
Meanwhile, the army managed to capture a Houthi leader and seven associates in Ad Dali' Governorate, in the south of the country, and killed insurgent members who sneaked into army sites in Qatabah, in the north of Ad Dali'.
