The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has sent a cable of congratulations to Fumio Kishida on his reelection as Japan’s Prime Minister, the Saudi Press Agency reported Saturday.

It said King Salman wished the Japanese Prime Minister every success and the friendly people of Japan steady progress and prosperity.

Kishida was reelected as Japan’s prime minister on Wednesday after his governing party scored a major victory in key parliamentary elections.
