The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has stressed the importance of joint Islamic action through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Saudi Press Agency reported Tuesday.
SPA said the King received a telephone call from Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad.
During the phone conversation, they reviewed relations between the two countries and opportunities of enhancing them in various fields, it said.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques affirmed the importance of joint Islamic action within the OIC in order to achieve unity in discussing all issues of concern to the Islamic nation, SPA added.
