Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz sent on Monday a cable of congratulations to Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi for winning a new presidential term, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
He affirmed that the Egyptian people's trust came as a result of Sisi’s distinct efforts in the fields of development and combatting terrorism.
He lauded the distinct and fraternal relations binding Egypt and Saudi Arabia as the two sides seek to consolidate and develop them in all fields.
For his part, Sisi expressed his gratitude to King Salman’s stance and the Saudi people for their noble positions towards Egypt and its people.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, later sent a cable to Sisi, congratulating him on his victory.
