Saudi King Receives Sheikh Al-Azhar

King Salman holds talks with Shiekh al-Azhar in Riyadh. (SPA)

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received in Riyadh on Monday Grand Sheikh of al-Azhar Ahmed el-Tayeb, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Meeting in the al-Yamamah palace, King Salman hailed the role played by Egypt's al-Azhar in spreading Islamic Sharia teachings and serving the Muslim nation.

For his part, Sheikh al-Azhar expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom for its services to Islam and Muslims.
