Saudi King Inaugurates Development Projects in Tabuk, al-Jawf

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz inaugurated on Tuesday 151 projects worth $3 billion in the Tabuk region.

Some 4.9 billion riyals will go toward three electricity management projects in the province, where the futuristic city of NEOM is due to be built, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Among other recipients are the tourism authority and the ministries of transport, housing, education, environment and municipal affairs.

King Salman had arrived in Tabuk on Monday as part of a tour of the region where he met with a number of citizens and local officials.

A previous tour of the Kingdom saw him visit Qassim and Hail where he also inaugurated several projects.

Later on Tuesday, the monarch departed Tabuk for the al-Jawf region.

There, he inaugurated 242 development projects worth 10 billion riyals.
