Saudi King, Crown Prince Condole Sudan over Helicopter Crash Victims

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, offered on Tuesday their condolences to Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on the victims of Sunday helicopter crash, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

In a cable, King Salman extended condolences on behalf of the Saudi people and government, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

At least seven local government officials were killed in the crash in Sudan’s eastern al-Qadarif state.

A number of people were also injured in the incident. The officials had been carrying out a security tour of the province.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
