Saudi King, Crown Prince Condole Pakistan President over Suicide Attack

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, sent on Saturday separate cables of condolences to Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain following a suicide attack on an election rally, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

King Salman condemned “the criminal act … expressing on behalf of the people and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy.”

The two royals wished the injured a speedy recovery.

At least 128 people were killed on Friday when suicide blast ripped through a crowded Pakistani election rally in the southwestern province of Baluchistan.

More than 150 people were wounded when the bomber detonated just as a local politician, Siraj Raisani, was standing to make a speech in a tent packed closely with supporters. He was among the dead.

The ISIS terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.
