Saudi King Chairs King Abdulaziz Foundation's Board of Directors Meeting

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has chaired the 50th meeting of the Board of Directors of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah).

At the outset of the meeting, the King affirmed keenness on national history, appreciating the Foundation's development of curriculum of social studies in public education and the national history curriculum for universities in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.

Then, the Board discussed the items placed on its agenda and issued a number of decisions, including approving the transformation of the Saudi Digital History Center to the Saudi Center for Digital Content.

The Board also approved the implementation of the National Historical Studies Initiative under the supervision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Chairman of King Abdulaziz Foundation.

The Board approved the list of regulations, human resources, financial regulations, contracts and procurement regulations concluded by the committee formed by King Abdulaziz Foundation and the Ministry of Finance.

The Board also approved the final fiscal account of the King Abdulaziz Foundation for the fiscal year 1439/1440 AH and was briefed on the activities of the Cultural Department that were implemented in that year.
