Saudi Justice Minister and Chairman of Alimony Fund Waleed al-Sama’ani has appointed Shuruq al-Jadaan as deputy director for alimony affairs, to be the first woman in a leading position at the fund.
Al-Jadaan expressed her appreciation for the trust and efforts by the ministry to empower women at various judicial sectors. She looks forward to helping the recently launched fund develop and reach its potential.
The fund, which was officially launched last year, aims to realize financial stability of families through the prompt disbursement of maintenance covering permanent and temporary cases.
