Saudi Housing Ministry Seeks Providing 75,000 Land Grants

The Saudi Ministry of Housing provided 33,137 residential land grants to citizens of all regions during the last six installments of “Sakani” program for the current year (2018), representing 26 percent of the total housing and financing options provided by the Ministry to beneficiaries per month.

In a statement on Monday, the ministry said that Sakani program, in its second phase, targets allocating 75,000 free lots covering all areas of the Kingdom.

During the next monthly payments, the allocation of 41,863 grants will be provided, coinciding with inspection of the lands by the beneficiaries in preparation to receive them.

Makkah area received the largest number of lands in the region, with a total of 6,673 land lots, amounting to 20 percent of the total lands granted.

It was followed by Asir region with 5,381 thousand lands, 16 percent, and then the eastern region with 3,911 thousand land lots, 12 percent, and Jizan with 3,800 land lots, 11 percent.

The sixth installment of Sakani program, which was announced Sunday by the ministry, included 7,319 land grants, distributed among different areas.
