Saudi Health Ministry Reports 2,764 New Virus Cases

The Saudi Health Ministry reported on Thursday 2,764 new coronavirus cases.

The Kingdom has registered 243,238 total cases, it said.

Of the new cases, 260 were recorded in Jeddah, 213 in Hufof, 208 in Riyadh and 159 in Dammam, Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Mohammed Abdelali said.

The number of patients who have died of COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus, rose to 2,370 after 45 new deaths, he added.

According to the ministry, 4,574 patients recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 187,622.
