
Saudi Arabia continued to provide relief and humanitarian aids to Yemenis in all governorates without exception as part of Yemen Comprehensive Humanitarian Operations (YCHO) in which eight trucks laden with relief aid and provided by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) have arrived in al-Jawf province north Yemen on Saturday.
The shipment which consists of 2,300 food packs weighing 74 kg each, will be distributed to the neediest families in the province in the coming few days.
The aid is part of the massive humanitarian aid projects provided by KSRelief aid projects, which have so far reached 217 projects including all Yemeni governorates, without exception.
KSRelief has also provided a new aid shipment of 1,000 food packs to Wadi al-Melh region in Nihm district of Sanaa province.
The shipment will benefit 6,000 people, and it is part of 18,919 food packs allocated for the province.
KSRelief has been implementing a massive humanitarian aid in Yemen since the beginning of this year, when an aid plan for Yemen was unveiled.
The aid campaign covers all parts of Yemen including Houthi-held territories.
As part of YCHO, KSRelief also distributed 4,500 cartons of dates in 10 centers in al-Khokha Directorate in Hodeidah Governorate, benefiting 27,000 individuals.
In another matter, Advisor to the Royal Court and General Supervisor of KSRelief Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Rabiah met Director General of the International Organization for Migration William Lacy Swing on the sidelines of the international conference of donor countries to finance the humanitarian response plan in Yemen, held at the UN headquarters in Geneva.
The two officials discussed relief and humanitarian affairs, joint projects and means of enhancing bilateral cooperation.
Swing praised the relief programs and humanitarian work provided by the center to alleviate the people’s suffering and its special role in solving the problems of displaced people in various countries of the world.
