
Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir received in Riyadh on Thursday UNICEF representative to the Gulf countries Tayyip Adam who presented his credentials, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
The two officials discussed fields of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and UNICEF.
Adam expressed UNICEF’s gratitude to the Kingdom for its donation worth $151 million and its humanitarian and developmental role to alleviate the suffering of the needy all over the world.
He also praised Saudi Arabia for providing $1 billion in support of humanitarian work in Yemen this year.
The meeting was attended by Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Rassi, undersecretary of the ministry for multilateral international affairs, and Azzam bin Abdulkarim Al-Gain, undersecretary of the ministry for protocol affairs.
