Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir hailed on Friday the role played by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, in ensuring the success of the Yemen peace consultations that were held in Sweden.
He tweeted that the Crown Prince exerted “great personal efforts” in guaranteeing the success of the peace negotiations between the legitimate Yemeni government and Iran-backed Houthi militias.
He added that the implementation of the Stockholm agreement will act as an important step in reaching a political solution that would ensure that the rule of the state and security and stability are restored in Yemen.
Saudi Arabia, through the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed, sought to reach a political solution in Yemen based on the three references, starting with United Nations Security Council 2216, stressed Jubeir.
The other two references are the national dialogue outcomes and Gulf initiative.
