Saudi Federation for Cyber Security Signs Deals with Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin

The Saudi Federation for Cyber Security and Programming signs an MoU with Northrop Grumman. (SPA)

The Saudi Federation for Cyber Security and Programming signed on Friday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Northrop Grumman, the leading global security company for innovative systems and solutions, and the Air Force Association, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The deal was signed on the sidelines of an official visit paid by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to the US.

The MoU ratifies the intention of collaborating on annual Cyber Security competitions and raising awareness in the cyber security and programming community.

The MoU was co-signed by Federation Vice Chairman Abdullah Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, on behalf of Chairman Saud bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani, and Northrop Grumman’s CEO, and the National Commissioner of the Air Force Association.

Earlier, the Federation had signed an MoU with Lockheed Martin.

The MoU aims at creating a partnership in cyber security and programming. It will focus on developing and increasing capabilities of Saudi Arabia in cyber security and combating hacks and viruses. The company will provide its experience and knowledge in training Saudi talents, reported SPA.

The MoU was co-signed by al-Ghamdi and Alan Chinoda, CEO of Lockheed Martin.

In remarks following the signing, al-Qahtani said the agreement will support the Kingdom's youth, who are specialized in cyber security and programming.

Lockheed Martin is a world-class aviation, defense and information security company. The company primarily focuses on research, design, development and manufacturing sophisticated technologies and software systems.
