The Saudi embassy in Lebanon launched on Tuesday the 6th edition of the humanitarian Oumniyah initiative, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
Syrian child, Maha al-Rifai, who is suffering from paralysis, will benefit from this year’s aid initiative.
A ceremony was held at the embassy on the occasion. It was attended by a medical team from the American University of Beirut Medical Center that is attending to Rifai’s treatment.
The event was also attended by Director of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), in Lebanon, Fahd bin Saleh al-Qannas.
In a statement, Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid bin Abdullah Bukhari confirmed that the Oumniyah initiative reflects the real role played by the Kingdom to best serve mankind.
