Saudi Electricity Company has participated in the breaking-fast program organized by King Saud University for the preparation and distribution of one million meals during the holy month of Ramadan in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.
It also participated in distributing 2,000 Ramadan baskets to needy families in cooperation with the charitable food organization (Itaam).
Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications and PR at Saudi Electricity Company Hamoud bin Ouda al-Ghubaini said that the company's sponsorship of the distribution of one million meals is part of its social responsibility policy and its keenness to support all sectors of the society.
Ghubaini praised the program organized by the Social Responsibility Club of the university and its meals, which have been prepared carefully and distributed to needy people and families.
In this context, he pointed to the launching of Ramadan Basket, which is affiliated with the Saudi Electricity Company, in cooperation with Itaam.
He said that it aimed to provide 2,000 food baskets for needy families in a number of cities and governorates in Riyadh, Makkah and Asir regions.
Executive Director of Itaam Amer al-Barges, for his part, praised the role played by the company in supporting the programs of the organization and thanked the volunteer teams for their efforts in distributing these baskets in all the allocated areas.
