
A Saudi economic and trade delegation led by Mohammed al-Hammadi, head of the Saudi-Moroccan Business Council, has started on Monday a one-week visit to Morocco.
The visit will include meetings with Moroccan businessmen and officials, events and field visits in several Moroccan cities to discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation and business.
The delegation commenced its visit by meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Rabat Abdullah bin Saad al-Ghurairi, and its members scheduled meetings with partners and officials in the Moroccan capital.
It is expected to meet with head of Casablanca region before participating in the joint Saudi-Moroccan Business Council meeting this afternoon at the headquarters of the General Union of Moroccan Workers in Casablanca.
Among the most important topics to be discussed by the joint Saudi-Moroccan business delegation is the development of a project to open a direct maritime line between Morocco and Saudi Arabia to support the growth of trade exchanges, joint fund to support joint SMEs, bilateral cooperation program in African markets, obstacles of bilateral trade and investment and the preparations for the next meeting of the High Joint Committee between the two countries’ governments.
The delegation will arrive on Wednesday in Marrakesh for a three-day visit in which its members will participate in several meetings.
They include a reception event in Marrakesh’s headquarter, meeting at the headquarters of the Regional Investment Center for the delegation to be briefed on the advantages and specifications of investment in the region, another meeting with government institutions and professional organizations concerned with tourism in Marrakesh, and field visits to several major investment projects in the city.
