Saudi Customs at Al-Haditha Border Crossing Point has thwarted two attempts to smuggle 1,404,000 Captagon pills.
The Captagon was found hidden in sweets and apples shipments carried by two trucks that arrived at the crossing point, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Director General of Al-Haditha Border Crossing Point customs Abdulrazzaq Al-Zahrani pointed out that the first apples shipment was on one of the trucks and after it was inspected, 520,000 pills were found.
884,000 pills were also found in another shipment of sweets and custard, he noted.
