Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and Russian President Vladimir Putin toured the historic al-Turaif district in Diriya.
The two leaders strolled through the neighborhoods that date back to the establishment of the first Saudi Dynasty.
Turaif, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, was the capital of the nation during the time of the founder, Imam Mohammed bin Saud.
Putin had arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday on his first official visit in 12 years.
He held official talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed.
On Tuesday, he departed for the United Arab Emirates.
