Saudi Sports Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Faisal revealed on Sunday that Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, had ordered that all of the Kingdom’s ministries, agencies and government departments offer any additional support needed by their counterparts in Qatar as it hosts the FIFA World Cup.

The minister stressed that he will be following up on the issue and reporting directly to Crown Prince Mohammed.

Qatar kicked off the World Cup on Sunday. The landmark global event is being held for the first time in the Middle East and in a Muslim country. It will conclude on December 18.
