Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has met with Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.

The meeting dealt with regional developments, particularly the Sept. 14 sabotage attacks on Saudi Aramco plants in Abqaiq and Khurais. The PM stressed Iraqi keenness on the Kingdom's security and stability, and noted the positive role played by Saudi Arabia to stabilize energy markets, SPA said.

During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries and the opportunities to develop them in various fields, the news agency added.

Abdul Mahdi and his accompanying delegation left Jeddah on Wednesday evening. He was seen off at King Abdulaziz International Airport by a number of officials.
