Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, lauded on Friday the role of the Control and Anti-Corruption Commission in combating corruption in Saudi Arabia.

In a message of gratitude to the employees at the commission, he said they were “fighting a fierce battle against corruption in our precious nation.”

President of the commission, Mazen Al-Kahmous, praised Crown Prince Mohammed for his message, saying it directly supports the body in performing its duties in combating financial and administrative corruption in all of its forms.

The commission is determined to detect and arrest anyone that is abusing public funds or his position to achieve personal gain or harm public interests, he added.

The body had recently tackled 227 criminal cases, arresting 374 Saudis and residents.
