
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, held talks in Cairo on Tuesday with Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
Meeting at the Ittihadiya palace, Sisi warmly welcomed Prince Mohammed and the accompanying delegation that included various ministers.
Sisi stressed the strength of the strategic alliance between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, saying that the Kingdom’s stability was an integral part of Egyptian national security.
Egyptian presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said that Sisi also underscored bilateral cooperation and coordination between Riyadh and Cairo to confront successive regional developments.
Prince Mohammed relayed to Sisi the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
They then held an expanded meeting that included delegations from their respective countries.
Discussions tackled bilateral ties and ways of developing them in various fields.
They also addressed regional developments and efforts exerted towards them.
Prince Mohammed had arrived in Egypt on Monday as part of the third stop of an Arab tour he had kicked off on Thursday in the United Arab Emirates. His second stop saw him visit Bahrain over the weekend.
