Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, telephoned US President Donald Trump to congratulate him on the killing of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Tuesday.
He praised the US raid that led to his demise, hoping that it will pave the way for a “new phase.”
It is a “historic” step in the war on terrorism, extremism and hate, he added.
Trump, for his part, hailed the ongoing and fruitful counter-terrorism cooperation between Washington and Riyadh.
