Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, arrived in Algeria on Sunday, the sixth and final stop of his Arab tour.
He was received upon his arrival in Algiers by Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia and several ministers.
Saudi Ambassador to Algeria Abdulaziz Al-Omairini said that the visit underscores the deep-rooted relations between Riyadh and Algiers.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ambassador said that the visit will mark a new beginning for Saudi-Algerian cooperation.
Prince Mohammed had kicked off his Arab tour in the United Arab Emirates in late November.
He then traveled to Bahrain, Egypt and Tunisia.
After a stop at the G20 summit in Argentina, Prince Mohammed resumed his tour Sunday by traveling to Mauritania before heading to Algeria.
