The Saudi cabinet hailed on Tuesday the speech delivered by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz before the Shura Council on Monday, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
The ministers highlighted his remarks on Saudi internal and foreign policy, as well as his pride in the comprehensive development witnessed in the Kingdom in line with its Vision 2030.
King Salman chaired the cabinet session, which was held in Tabuk city.
The gatherers also underlined the monarch’s stances on Arab, Islamic and international affairs, as well as his keenness on maintaining Saudi Arabia’s strategic partnerships with friendly countries.
King Salman then briefed the ministers on the details of the message that he delivered earlier this week to Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah.
He briefed them on the discussions he held on Sunday with visiting Iraqi President Barham Salih. The two officials met in Riyadh where they discussed bilateral ties and ways of developing them in various fields.
Information Minister Dr. Awwad bin Saleh al-Awwad told SPA that the ministers thanked friendly and fraternal nations and organizations for their welcoming of the General Prosecution statement on the findings in the murder of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul last month.
He hailed them for refusing to politicize this humanitarian affair, which has been referred to the Saudi judiciary that will issue verdicts against the suspects.
This reflects the state’s keenness on safeguarding its principles and people and ensuring that justice is reached, he added.
On Yemen, the cabinet praised Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for their announcement of a $500 million food aid program for the Yemeni people.
The program was announced Tuesday by Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabi'ah, general supervisor of the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Relief and Works, at a joint press conference in Riyadh with Reem al-Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation.
