Saudi Arabia Welcomes Agreement on Constitutional Document in Sudan

An official source at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the agreement on the constitutional document and its initial signing between the Transitional Military Council and the Forces of Freedom and Change in Sudan.

The source said that the move is a qualitative step that will move Sudan towards security, peace and stability, the Saudi Press agency reported.

He also commended the efforts being exerted by all parties to give priority to the national interest and open a new chapter in the country's history.

The source concluded by reiterating Saudi Arabia's full commitment to stand by Sudan and continue its support to contribute to Sudan's advancement, stability and security throughout its regions, emanating from the strategic depth of the Sudan and the close ties between the two countries and peoples.
