He made his remarks while presiding over a cabinet session in the capital Riyadh.

He hailed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime minister, Minister of Defense and Chairman of Anti-Corruption Committee, for his efforts as well as the committee's work in completing the tasks assigned to it.

King Salman stated that the audit agencies must bolster their roles to ensure that public funds are protected and preserved.

In addition, the cabinet lauded the consultative meeting of ministers of foreign affairs of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt and Jordan, which was held in Jordan and discussed current developments in the region.
