Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed Al-Jaber and United Nations envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths held talks on Thursday about the Iran-backed Houthi militias’ attacks against civilian locations in the Kingdom.
They also tackled the Houthi assault on Yemen’s Marib province amid international calls for calm.
Al-Jaber expressed his support for UN efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution to the crisis.
In a tweet, he said that the Houthis’ ongoing rejection of peace calls and continued attacks against Saudi Arabia over its support to the Yemeni people are “cowardly terrorist” acts that hamper all international peace efforts.
