The Security Council of the United Nations commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates after they pledged US$200 million in humanitarian relief assistance for Yemenis for the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Members of the Security Council expressed deep concern that the agreements reached between the Yemeni Government and Al-Houthis in Stockholm four months ago had not yet been implemented and called for their immediate implementation.

This came in a press statement issued Thursday by the Council, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The statement affirmed the Council's support for the Stockholm Agreement between the two parties, its full support for the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General to Yemen and the Chairman of the Coordinating Committee for Re-deployment.
