Saudi Arabia to Give Yemeni Government $422 Million Worth of Fuel

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. SPA

Saudi Arabia will grant $422 million worth of petroleum products to Yemen's government for power stations and to support public services, state news agency SPA said on Tuesday.

It said Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman informed Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi of the grant under the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program in a telephone call.

The Yemeni President appreciated the Kingdom’s generous support to his government and the Yemeni people, said SPA.

The two sides reviewed the Middle East Green Initiative, which aims, in partnership with the countries of the region, to face environmental challenges, it said.

During the call, they also discussed developments in Yemen, and international support for the Saudi initiative to end the Yemeni crisis and reach a comprehensive political solution, SPA added.
