The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) has granted $40 million to the Palestinian Authority (PA), the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.

The grant is intended to support the PA’s budget for February and March, SPA quoted Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Osama bin Ahmed Nugali as saying.

“This contribution comes within the framework of the Kingdom's continued support for the Palestinian cause at the political, economic and humanitarian levels,” Nugali, who is also Saudi Arabia’s permanent representative to the Cairo-based Arab League, added.
