Saudi Arabia 'suicide bomber' YouTube prank prompts passenger to jump from moving taxi

A "taxi driver" pretended to be a terrorist attempting to blow up a his suicide vest in a video prank that prompted one passenger to leap out of a moving car.

The footage, posted on YouTube by a comedy group in Saudi Arabia and viewed thousands of time, shows the driver dressed in white traditional dress and a fake beard.

He is seen pulling back his robe to reveal fake bombs to his passengers.

Viewed from a hidden camera, the first victim is a young boy who the driver asks: “What do you think about jihad?”

After revealing the vest, the boy cries and pleads with the driver to stop, before the prankster points to the camera and tells him it is a joke.

The second passenger is so terrified by the pretend explosives that he opens the door and jumps out of the moving taxi.

After stopping the car, the team of pranksters explain to the apparently uninjured boy that it was only a joke.

Later in the video, the driver is wrestled into a headlock by a passenger sitting behind him, while another passenger sitting in the front manages to stop the car and tries to call the police.

The video has the logo of the Saudi prankster group Tube Up, but the original was removed from YouTube following a barrage of negative comments that suggested the stunt was in poor taste.
