Saudi Arabia: Sudan’s Cabinet is Important Step in Meeting People’s Aspirations

Saudi Arabia welcomed on Friday the formation of a transitional government in Sudan in a move that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people.

A Foreign Ministry official said in a statement carried by the state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that Riyadh welcomed the formation of the Sudanese cabinet, which was announced by Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok on Thursday.

The official congratulated the Sudanese people on this “important step that confirms their will and eagerness in achieving Sudan’s interest, preserving its security and stability and meeting their aspirations.”
