The Saudi Foreign Ministry condemned in the strongest terms on Tuesday Israeli forces for violating the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and for their assaults against worshippers.
It called on the international community to hold Israel accountable for the escalation and to urge it to immediately stop its acts that violate all international norms and treaties.
It reiterated the Kingdom’s solidarity with the Palestinian people and all efforts aimed at ending the occupation and reaching a fair and comprehensive solution to the crisis.
The solution must ensure that the Palestinian people can establish their own state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and according to international resolutions and the 2002 Arab peace initiative.
