Saudi Arabia stressed on Saturday the need to reach a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

“We are continuing our coordination with Jordan on regional and bilateral affairs,” he said after receiving in Riyadh his Jordanian counterpart Ayman al-Safadi.

Discussions tackled bilateral relations and ways to employ them in favor of joint Arab work, continued Prince Faisal.

They also covered regional developments, including the situation in Syria, Libya, Lebanon and Yemen, as well as Iran’s meddling in the region.

For his part, Safadi hailed Amman’s “strategic and historic” relationship with Riyadh, underling Saudi Arabia’s constant support for Jordan in confronting economic challenges.

He added that Jordan is seeking a fair and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, saying that Riyadh and Amman are committed to the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.
