Saudi Arabia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Manzalawi.

Saudi Arabia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Manzalawi has stressed the Kingdom's belief in the importance of cooperation regarding transparency between countries to reduce illicit financial flows, calling on the United Nations bodies to continue working and considering ways to address this phenomenon.

This came during Manzalawi's speech in a recent virtual meeting between the UN member states and the High-level Panel on International Financial Accountability, Transparency and Integrity for Achieving the 2030 Agenda.

He pointed out that the Saudi cooperation with the international community and organizations is clear in adhering to agreements and making the enhancement of the G20 countries' efforts in combating corruption and maintaining integrity a priority during its G20 presidency.

Manzalawi highlighted the efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia in combating corruption and achieving transparency and integrity, stressing that fighting corruption is an essential pillar to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The panel was briefed on member states' contributions on areas that could help them in mobilizing sufficient political support to address challenges facing the world in terms of financial accountability, transparency, integrity and anti-corruption, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

They also highlighted the priorities that countries consider important to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
