Saudi Arabia stressed that it will continue to work with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to achieve its 2023 strategic plan.

The plan is based on four main priorities, including early childhood development and child protection in cooperation with competent authorities in the Kingdom and the region, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Saturday.

This stance was voiced by First Secretary of the Saudi Arabian Mission to the UN in New York Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al-Qadi, who was attending the meetings of the second session of UNICEF’s Executive Board.

He hailed the partnership between Saudi Arabia and UNICEF to implement many programs and plans aimed at caring for and protecting children, youth and girls.

Saudi Arabia is keen to exert all efforts to protect and care for all children and to ensure that they enjoy their human, social, educational and economic rights.

Qadi explained that the Kingdom will continue to support UNICEF in carrying out its work and serve common interests in Saudi Arabia and the Arab Gulf region.
