Two Saudi aircraft sent by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday to help Malaysia tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
This move comes in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud following the request of Malaysian Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein during his call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The Saudi airlift to Malaysia includes 100 ventilators, 150 portable ventilators, 319 oxygen concentrators, 30 respiratory support devices, 100 portable ventilators consumables, 150 electric medical beds, 15 vital signs monitors, 10 central vital signs monitors, 27 portable vital signs monitors, 3 million surgical masks, 1 million N95 masks, 500,000 medical gloves, 180 pulse oximeters, 50 intravenous infusions pumps, 50 intravenous solutions pumps, 7 defibrillators, 5 video laryngoscopes, 5 electrocardiographs (ECGs), and 10,000 protective gowns.
The one million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be provided through coordination with with the Malaysian Foreign Minister's office. One of the approved international companies will supply the required quantities of vaccines directly from their factories to Malaysia.
