Saudi Arabia intercepted and destroyed a “hostile air target” aimed at Jeddah, the Defense Ministry said on Saturday.
On Tuesday, the Saudi navy intercepted and destroyed a remote-controlled explosive-laden boat off the Red Sea port of Yanbu.
Defense Ministry spokesman Brigadier General Turki al-Malki said it was destroyed according to the rules of engagement.
He said the ministry was taking strict measures against any hostile attempts to target the Kingdom’s economic facilities.
