Saudi Arabia's MASAM Removes 105 Landmines

In the second week of June 2019, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief)'s project for clearing landmines (MASAM) in Yemen, has successfully demined 105 landmines.

The removed devices included 2 antipersonnel mines, 47 anti-tank mines, 56 unexploded ordnance and explosive devices, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Since the start of the project, 72,381 landmines have been demined after they had been planted by Houthi militias, in Yemen.

The planted mines had claimed the lives of children, women and the elderly, whether by death, serious injuries or amputation.
