Saudi Arabia Reported on Monday 138 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, taking the Kingdom’s total to 2,523.

Health Ministry spokesman Mohammed Abdelali said four patients died from the virus, taking the count to 38.

Sixty-three patients have recovered, raising the number to 551, he told a press conference.

He urged the people to respect preventive measures, such avoiding handshakes and gatherings, staying at home and frequently washing hands.

They should contact the dedicated hotline for all inquiries related to the coronavirus.

Authorities later imposed a 24-hour curfew in the capital Riyadh and the cities of Tabuk, Dammam, Dhahran, Al-Hofuf, Jeddah, Taif, Al-Qatif and Al-Khobar over the outbreak.
